Technique

“My practice begins with a refusal to accept that things must be done one way. I work through a hybrid process: drawing digitally, printing the image, and then returning to it physically — painting, layering, altering, and intervening by hand.

This back and forth — between control and intuition, between the distance of the digital and the presence of the hand — is where the work happens.

I am less interested in medium than in movement: between structure and instinct, between precision and risk. Each piece exists in that tension — never purely digital, never purely handmade, always somewhere in between.”

Drawing, at a distance

Each work begins on the tablet — line, composition, and restraint. The digital drawing offers a kind of distance: structure without yet committing to touch.

The print

The drawing is printed on fine-art paper. This is not the work — it is the ground the work will argue with. The print holds the precision; what follows introduces the risk.

The hand returns

Painting, layering, altering, intervening by hand. Washes, impasto, erasure. This is where each piece becomes singular — the moment where precision and risk meet.

Because every work is finished by hand, nothing here is ever repeated. Editions are hand-finished and individually distinct; available works exist exactly once.
