Zoha Abdulsater, Beirut
Zoha Abdulsater is a Lebanese contemporary artist whose practice sits deliberately between two worlds: the distance of the digital and the presence of the hand. She draws on the tablet, prints the image, and then returns to it physically — painting, layering, altering, and intervening until the piece is singular.
Her relationship with structure comes from elsewhere. Formally educated in comparative literature and structural psychoanalysis, she spent years working inside systems of language and meaning — before spending the last two decades working against the idea that things must be done one way. The paintings carry both inheritances: precision, and the willingness to risk it.
Her work has been exhibited in Beirut and abroad — including at the UNESCO Palace in Beirut, the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, and Art Dubai — and is held in private collections across Lebanon, the Gulf, and internationally.
